Executive Summary
There are many concerns as to the resources and time that go into planning a Konkani Youth Convention (KYC). This manual aims to educate potential hosts, so that they are able to make a well-informed decision when choosing whether or not they will be able to successfully plan for and host a KYC. Below are a few bullets and a quick synopsis of the resources required and the information contained in this manual

People: The greater the number of volunteers, the better, but there should be a total of approximately 10 people who are willing to commit to the planning process (at least 5 of whom should be local to the KYC site).

Time: Planning should begin at least 1 year ahead of time, and committee members should be willing to devote 1-2 hours a week in the beginning stages, and then plan to meet on a weekly basis (if not more frequently) during the final month.
