Hotel Arrangements

The event will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn in the heart of downtown Chicago. To receive the discounted rate when you book, mention our Group/Convention code: AKA. The discounted rate is $139 a night, plus tax. Just in case your long division isn't up to par, here is a break down of costs should you decide to split the room with other attendees:

You can book your room online at Hilton Garden Inn Chicago. If you are interested in sharing a room with someone to split the cost, but do not know of anyone coming to the convention, please let us know and we will do our best to pair you up with someone. 

Flight Arrangements

We have worked with United Airlines to get a group discount on your airfare. This discount is 10%. The earlier you book your tickets, the more competitive the prices will be.  Here is the information you’ll need to take advantage of the group rate-

-You can fly into either airport, Midway or O’Hare, but Midway is closest to downtown Chicago . 

Please keep in mind that in order to take advantage of the 10% discount, you must book your tickets before July 5^th.  After July 5^th, you will receive a 5% discount.  United Airlines is allowing a 3 day window as well- If you want to fly in 3 days earlier than the convention and/or leave 3 days after the convention, you could still take advantage of the group rate.

The cheapest way will be to take the CTA. Either a bus from Midway or a train/bus from O'Hare. There is a train stop within walking distance from the hotel. Get more information at www.transitchicago.com

• Directions to the Hotel:
  • By Car: On I-90/94 Take the Ohio St. East exit. On the ramp, you will go over the Chicago River. Continue to go straight on Ohio St. You will pass LaSalle Street, Clark St, Dearborn St. and State St. After Dearborn St., stay to the right. After State St, will be Wabash St. On Wabash St., make a right turn (there will be a Pizzeria Uno’s and ESPN Zone on the corner). After making a right on Wabash, the next signal will be Grand Ave. Make a right on Grand Ave. and the hotel will be on the right side.
  • Via CTA (from O’Hare)
    • Take the Blue Line (either to Forest Park line or 54/Cermak line) from the O’Hare Terminal. Fare is $1.75 and passes can be picked up at kiosks before boarding the train.
    • Take the Blue Line to the Washington St. stop, this comes after Clark St. At Washington, take the free transfer to Red Line trains. There are signs when you exit the train to transfer to the Red Line. Take the Howard St. Red Line heading North. Make sure you take the Howard St. line and NOT THE 95/RYAN Line. You will stay on the Red Line for a short time to Grand Ave. Get down at Grand Ave, take the steps or elevator up to street level and the Hilton Garden Inn is within steps.  
  • Via CTA (From Midway)
    • Follow the signs to take CTA Orange Line from Midway Terminal. Fare is $1.75 and passes can be picked up at kiosks before boarding the train.
    • Take the Orange Line to the Roosevelt Rd. Stop. Exit, walk down the steps to street level and walk one block to the Red Line subway.
    • Take the Howard St. Red Line heading North. Make sure you take the Howard St. line and NOT THE 95/RYAN Line. You will stay on the Red Line and pass Jackson, Monroe, Washington and Lake St. After Lake St is Grand Ave. Get down at Grand Ave, take the steps or elevator up to street level and the Hilton Garden Inn is within steps.
